Sinopsis: Outskirts of an industrial city.. a deserted sandpit and its solitary tenant..
One day – an ordinary day -, in his empty concrete and iron world a stranger comes .. nothing seems to change.. but things are not the same anymore..
Director's Statement: "Balastiera #186" is more a poem than a story about solitude and longing, about our essential need for the other and, yet, about the impossibility of real contact between people.
Nevertheless, in our "disenchanted" world, this longing/search for the Other, what we call "love" in any of its unexpected forms, seems to be our only way to access a possible "divinity", our only way to deny nothingness.
